Our organization educates, provides resources and support families with special needs. We strive to make the community more inclusive for special needs children and more American Sign Language (ASL) friendly. Through our training and outreach endeavors, families are provided with literature to help them make informative decisions concerning their special needs.
History
Mission
Talking Hands Incorporated was founded in 2014 by parents of a special needs child who sought more resources and support. Through our family’s journey with our child, we discovered that many families are ill-informed about their rights and responsibilities concerning their child. In addition, we found that many of the federal, state and local resources that are available to families with special needs were only known because of previous experience or by word of mouth. We want to bridge this gap, which is at the heart of our mission - to educate, provide resources and support families with special needs children.
